Update!

I had my second Doctor's Appointment yesterday. Although you are in and out so quickly, it was nice to hear his little heartbeat. It was 156 bpm! We will have another ultrasound on May 18...I can't wait! Those are my favorite! By then I will be 20 weeks-HALFWAY! :) So far it seems to be going so fast!

We finished painting the dresser and Doug put in the new handles. We are leaving it in the closet, but it still looks really cute.

Last Friday, I took the day off and went to Topeka to hang out with Caroline, Taylynn, and Preston. We met at the mall and did some shopping. I really needed clothes for me, but found a lot more for the baby! It is all so cute! After the mall and during nap time Caroline and I went through Preston's old clothes. I think it was a bittersweet moment for her, but we really appreciate Preston letting Baby O. barrow some clothes! I had fun going through everything and hanging it in his closet. I have 0-12 months in the closet and 12-24 months in a tote. So the closet is getting full.

I am not sure when we will be painting the nursery, but we have chosen a pale green to match the bedding. I think it is just a matter of doing it. Hopefully soon.
We registered at Target last Sunday. It might be a little soon, but we know it's a boy so we thought "why not?". It was fun and I think Doug even enjoyed it! I know we left some things off and I am adding them as I remember. So many things to think about!

Last Saturday Mom and Dad came in town from Arkansas. It was so nice to spend time with them! I hope we will see them again soon. I know we are going to be headed in their direction for Memorial weekend. I can't wait. I bet I will REALLY be showing then-21 weeks!

16 weeks 1 day!

Today Doug and I went to the Dr. for sonogram number 4 of our little one. I can't explain the excitement of seeing our baby grow. He was moving around a lot...although I can't feel it...we could see his little hands and feet squirming! His heartbeat was 148 bpm, which is a normal heartbeat. We could even see the little flicker of his heart!

15 Weeks!

This Weekend!

I am looking forward to the weekend! I am still so tired by the time I get home from work, that the weekends are the only time I have to get stuff done around the house. Last weekend we moved the guestroom into the old office and started to paint the dresser for the babys closet. This weekend I hope to get so much more done! I would like to finish paiting the dresser. We also bought new handle pulls, so I am hoping Doug will drill new holes for the handles. I would also like to line the drawers of the dresser this weekend. I have a shelf and a few other things I'd like to paint outside before it gets too warm!

Since we moved into the house, we have been meaning to shorten the blinds by removing the extra slats, it's a 2 person project so hopefully that will get done soon. :)

Wamego, KS is holding it's 23rd annual Tulip Festival this weekend. We have never been, but we plan on fitting it in this Saturday. They have arts and crafts vendors and of course tulips! It will be a nice break from our projects. We plan on taking our little friend Kennedy with us. She is very excited about the cotton candy! :)

Next Tuesday is our 4th Ultrasound! I am so excited to see how much the baby has grown in the last 3 weeks! I will definately post new sonogram pictures as soon as I can! After that we should have one more sonogram at the beginning of May.

We have been thinking of names, but don't have a definate "Yes" yet. Here are some of the names we like...

Jackson Taylor Omenski
Jack Hudson Omenski
Jackson Henry Omenski

There seems to be a trend!? We really like the name Jack as his first name. We are torn with it being just Jack or Jackson? Let us know what you think!

Baby O.

We are expecting our first baby October 4, 2010. I am 15 weeks along and feeling great...so far! We found out on March 31 that we are having a baby boy! It is so fun to know what we are having and to find out so soon gives us much more time to prepare!

Last weekend we (mostly Doug) moved the guest room furniture out of the soon-to-be nursery and into the new guest room. Everything from the bed to the curtains were moved! Now we have an empty nursery ready for paint.
We decided on brown and green for the color and silhouettes of elephants for the bedding. We picked out the crib and dresser in Wichita over Easter weekend. It is so cute! I can't wait to have a finished nursery!

We have been lucky to have 3 ultrasounds so far! We have seen him grow from 5 weeks to 13 weeks. I have another one scheduled next Tuesday (16 weeks)!

We are so excited about our new addition and can not wait to meet him!
